I don't know that I'd necessarily congratulate anyone who took VC money. VC money doesn't come for free or without entanglements. Rather, I'll wish them the best of luck with this next stage of the adventure.
Yep I agree - they were self funded thus far. Pretty impressive.
I'm no expert in VCs, but have some experience from previous jobs. It is a tough game.
Sounds like Jive knows this and picked well - they have a top VC and are still in control of the company.
There are good VCs and bad VCs. There are good deals and bad deals. Here's to hoping Jive got a good VC and a good deal ;)
